conventional tree removal strategies
Tree cranes are utilized in situations where conventional tree removal strategies would be unsafe or possibly create other hazards for the arborists, homeowner, or other property features.
When assessing a tree and the area around it, our experienced arborists take several factors into account when determining whether a crane will be needed for removal. Generally, a crane is selected for the purposes of avoiding the risk of further dangers or doing more damage than the tree may be causing already.
Crane-assisted removal is often the most effective and safest solution if:
- A weakened or diseased tree is leaning close to a residence or commercial building
- The tree is too tall to safely perform felling from ground level
- A tree is close to or has become entangled in electrical wiring and cables
- A tree is significantly damaged or severely decayed
- One or more trees have fallen due to weakness, age, storm or disease on top of or up against a house or other structure
Cranes for Professional Tree Care
Though many crane services necessary for trees are for the specific purposes of removing them, there are other situations when proper tree care isn’t possible without the use of a crane. For taller trees that require pruning, for example, a crane not only lifts the arborist to the heights required for access, but also provides a place for cut branches to safely fall. Additionally, using a tree service crane can be beneficial for inspecting tall trees so our experts can better evaluate their overall structural integrity and health.
